Our Story
Mending Hearts Ministry was founded by Amanda Cordero in 2020 in loving memory of her daughter Alliah Faith who was born still in 2013. Amanda was struggling with her loss and as divine intervention would have it, Amanda connected with another mother during a women’s bible study who shared her testimony of loss and provided encouragement and hope.
During her grief journey, Amanda realized that when a mother loses a child she often grieves alone. As she began to heal from her devastating loss, she realized how vital Hope, Love and Support was during her grief journey and wanted to reach out and help other grieving mothers. Mending Hearts Ministry was birthed out of the premise that no mother should feel isolated or abandoned during their time of loss. Each mother has a voice and testimony to share that can help encourage and provide hope to other women who have lost a child. If God can take her broken pieces and mend her broken heart, she is confident He can do the same for other women. That has become the philosophy of Mending Hearts Ministry. As our hearts are being mended, we reach out to help others find hope as God mends their hearts.
Our Mission
He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow]. Psalms 147:3
Mending Hearts Ministry is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that provides hope and strength to mothers who have endured the loss of a child from miscarriage to adult by encouraging one another and sharing the hope and love of God.
What We Believe
We believe that no mother should feel isolated or abandoned during her time of loss. Each mother has a voice and testimony to share that can help encourage and provide hope to other grieving mothers. If God can take our broken pieces and mend our broken heart, we are confident he can do the same for other women.
